Mrs Margaret Shrimpton was in charge of girls in the Sixth Form from 1980 until she retired in 1990. At this time there were still only girls in the Sixth Form at the College. Margaret attended a St Maur's reunion held at St George's Junior School (formerly St Maur's), for staff back in 2019.

Margaret sadly passed away on the 9th November 2024. Her funeral will take place on Friday 6th December in the College Chapel, followed by a gathering at Silvermere Golf Club. Margaret leaves her three children, Paul, Phil and Jane. May she rest in peace.

Very sad to hear that Mrs Shrimpton has died. She was so lovely - an indomitable protector of us female students (in the “Aviary”!) and a true advocate for equality at a time when it was a very male dominated world. She cared deeply and really wanted the best for all of us.

May she rest in peace and my prayers and deepest condolences to her family.
